As one of the largest food companies in Sri Lanka, Cherish has an environmental policy in place that reflects our commitment to conduct business in a manner that respects and protects the environment. We are striving towards limiting emission to the water, air and land, and the efficient use of resources.

We work closely with authorities such as Central Environment Bureau and Institute of Standards to identify opportunities for reducing water consumption and pollution. Our production Site at Anuradhapura has also made significant progress reducing waste and water consumption by installing, among other things Rs 3Mn waste water treatment plant.

Cherish is also focused on reducing the energy by installing Hybrid Ovens and Silo systems to improve the energy saving up to 15% While reducing Co2 emission. The installed Humidity control systems also improve control of residual humidity in products.

Our environment friendly action plans contain specific objective to minimize the use of packaging material, where possible; use recyclable materials, where possible; and ensure the environmental impact of consumer packaging waste are managed and minimized.

Cherish also provide employment and training opportunities to rural-based youth in North Central Province while handsomely contributing to the GDP growth of this rural based Province in Sri Lanka.
